The Hostess/MC nonintelligent multiport serial controller enables theconnection of up to eight asynchronous serial devices, such as terminalsand printers, to a single PC expansion slot on a Micro Channel compatiblesystem. Upgrade modules allow growth from four to eight ports. The numberof users can be increased beyond eight by adding up to four controllersto a system.Hostess/MC features RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, and RS-232 Current Loopinterfaces with DB9, DB25, or RJ45 connectors. Interfaces come withcabling and easily attach to the controller through a high-densityconnector. Comtrol's software device drivers are easily installed and areavailable at no charge. Hostess/MC is backed by a 30-day trial, a five-year warranty, and lifetime support.
